Operational regulations in certain agencies may require vehicles to have their batteries disconnected from auxiliary electronic devices during periods of rest. In such situations, DC power may not be available to recharge X10DR Mics once they are placed back into the charging cradle at the end of the workday.
To address this issue, Wireless Pacific has developed the XBUP-C14 Backup Power box, which includes an in-line 6-inch XIC-0.15 interface cable for connecting the X10DR gateway cradle to the host mobile radio. This unique product is designed to provide after-hours charging for X10DR Wireless Microphones in vehicles where the battery is completely isolated while the vehicle is not in use.
When the vehicle is in operation, the XBUP's internal batteries are recharged while also powering the attached X10DR devices. When the Wireless Microphone is returned to the gateway cradle, it will immediately begin recharging from the vehicle battery if available, or from the built in backup 8.4V 1450mA internal battery supply.
The one device is designed to completely recharge a fully depleted wireless microphone battery sitting in its gateway charger. Should the installation include a 2nd or 3rd wireless microphones with allied XMVC mobile chargers, we recommend that these should be ideally individually connected via a dedicated XBUP-C14 device. You can however expect to recharge two 80% depleted Wireless Microphones from the one shared XBUP-C14. Us a XDIA dual adaptor and desired XIC interface cases to share the power bank.
